Bodmin Fire Station

Bodmin Community Fire Station is a day staffed station with emergency response being provided by two watches (Orange Watch and Green Watch) plus an on-call crew. The thirty personnel at the fire station regularly engage in site visits including fire safety awareness talks for many clubs, schools and rehabilitative groups with the firefighters also supporting the annual Bodmin Half Marathon. There are five various appliances which deal with a variety of incidents, from the norm’ of fires right through to RTC’s, line rescue and heavy animal rescue.

When the fire station needed a hardwearing, hygienic, and safe flooring solution for their fitness room and gym, they turned to international flooring specialists Gerflor. It’s’ Taraflex® sports flooring was supplied and would deliver to the highest standards required by the site users. In acknowledgement of the brave and hard work of Cornwall Fire Service crews Gerflor kindly donated 60m2 of this world-renowned sports flooring in the colour ‘Red’.
